11 Jan 2019Hello Adam! I love your podcast and it has given me so much useful information! Implementing even just a few of your ideas has made a huge difference for my businesss!
I do have a question, as I am in a fairly unique situation. I leave my station inside of a salon and while we all work together as a team and make group decisions for the salon I have also chosen to brand my business separately. I am apart of and apart from, if this makes sense. On my Facebook business page I have used my business name, Nailed by Perfection, and have included in the title, @ the brass ring. I try to be sure to share this information everywhere that I have a web presence so people recognize me as my own brand but associate the brass ring as my place of business.
Do you have any thoughts or advise on this strategy or for others that may be looking to do the same?
Thank you so much for all your hard work and wonderful podcasts! I dont know where I would be without them!
All the best,
Becky Liles

11 Jan 2019HI Becky . . . thank you for the comment and your very kind words about the podcast, I am so glad to have helped you out!
I think you are doing exactly the right thing here. I had to pop over and take a look at your Facebook page – love the picture of your little boy in the chair!
Anyway . . . by putting your own business name then @ The Brass Ring you are very clearly differentiating yourself, but also making it clear where you are in case anyone was looking for you as a standalone salon and couldn’t find you . . . you’ve made it really obvious.
The reason I went to your Facebook page was I wanted to check that you had your own branding on there, which you do . . . so a big gold star for you there!
Keep your own branding and put it on everything you have while you work within another salon. That way, if you ever need to move or break out completely on your own, people are familiar with the branding and it won’t feel like a complete change for them.
I hope this confirms you are on the right track and I wish you amazing things in 2019!
